UNREAL ENGINE 5 | FMOD

INTRODUCTION
The Tower is a personal project of mine done in Unreal Engine 5 and FMOD. You wake up in a mysterious tower and must search to discover the secrets it holds. Maybe, just maybe... you can find a way out.

TO SEE THE SUN AGAIN
I wanted to make a more dark and isolating experience with this project and so all of the sound design was created to help express that.

EVERY TORCH HAS A STORY
There are a lot of torches in this game, which mean't each one needed to sound a little different so that you dont run into phase issues when standing next to multiple torches. FMOD has a few very usful features to help avoid issues like this.

THE BASEMENT
Near the end of the game you find your way into a lower level of the tower which happens to be flooded. For this I designed and implemented separate footprint sounds to help sell the experience of trudging through about 6 inches of water in a dark and eerie basement.
